I want to thank you for your continued support of SpeechVive and your patience as we clarify the Medicare reimbursement process.
In July, 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a new billing code to cover SpeechVive and it took effect in October, 2020. This is great news! It provides a unique billing code that identifies the use and medical necessity for the SpeechVive.
In the past, after establishing a code, Medicare would set reimbursement price for the code. However, guidance has changed this year and the process is not as straight forward. We are working through this new and undefined process with CMS, currently.
As of this week, a path toward establishing a reimbursement price was developed. SpeechVive and our medical supply partners are now following this path to define an expedient and transparent process in the near future for all our customers seeking insurance reimbursement.
What can you do now? Complete the CUSTOMER FORM on the SpeechVive website.
A SpeechVive supplier will contact you to assist with filing an insurance reimbursement claim as further guidance becomes available.
